Much like the XP Taskbar, when in Auto-hide mode, the Smart Taskbar pops into view whenever a program has new information.
This is annoying. :)
I'm currently using a program called TaskBar Activate to keep the XP Taskbar from popping. Most of my programs have audio notifications, so I really don't need anything else obstructing my view.
In any event, obviously this program doesn't work with the Smart Taskbar.
Is there any sort of hidden feature that will match this functionality?
It seems that the popup is set on some sort of timer, so hopefully there's a simple registry or other setting that, if nothing else, can make that delay much longer (how about a week? ;) )

UltraMon shows the taskbar when a task button is flashing, the only way to prevent this would be to disable task flashing, but I don't know if this is possible.
I'll consider an option to not show the taskbar when a task is flashing for UltraMon 3.
