UltraMon has worked very well for me. But after I installed Firefox, I have been getting an error when pushing the button to move Firefox from one monitor to the other. The error says:
"UltraMon: Ultramon.exe - Unable to locate Co..." (title text is cut off by the error window) "This application has failed to start because nspr4.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application might fix this problem."
I've tried reinstalling both Firefox and UltraMon, and it seemed to solve the problem at first. But then the error began appearing again.
This is not a fatal error. After clicking okay on the error window, Firefox completes its move to the other monitor.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Which version of Firefox are you using?
I haven't been able to reproduce this issue with Firefox 1.5.0.3 and UltraMon 2.6.

I'm using those same versions.
Any idea what that missing dll file is? What other programs might be interfering?

Unfortunately I don't know what would cause this, seems weird.
Clicking on one of the buttons added by UltraMon doesn't start UltraMon, UltraMon needs to be already running for the buttons to be there.
nspr4.dll also isn't used by UltraMon, seems to be a component of Firefox.
Let me know if you find out anything else.

The fix found here works for Ultramon also.

Copy these files from "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" and paste them into "C:\WINDOWS\system32"
nspr4.dll xpcom.dll xpcom_core.dll plc4.dll plds4.dll

I had the exact same problem with my Firefox (v2.0.6) & UltraMon (v2.7.1) installations. However, the files that we're instructed to copy to the c:\Windows\system32 folder are apparently updated whenever Firefox releases a new version. So instead of copying them to your system32 directory (and having them get out of sync), I added the c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder to my Path variable, and the problem appears to be fixed.
Here's how to add this to your Path variable (be careful as messing up your Path variable can cause lots of problems): 1. Right-click on My Computer 2. Select Properties 3. Click the Advanced Tab 4. Click the Environment Variables button at bottom of screen. 5. From the System Variables section, Double click the Path variable. 6. Click on the Variable Value field and put your cursor after it's last letter on the right. 7. Make sure the last character is a semi-colon (add one if it's not already). 8. Add "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" to the end and hit the OK button to save your updated Path variable. 9. Keep hitting OK to close any open dialog boxes. 10. Reboot your computer.
That should do it. Hope this helps someone.
