im using the new 3.0 beta. one thing that annoys me is that i somehow cannot rightclick the new taskbar and resize it to fit my needs.
is it possible or do i have to reverse back to the old version?

Quick workaround. Add a toolbar, of any variety, to your smart taskbar. then, right click in that location of the taskbar and you should see an option menu called view, change to large icons.
It does seem some basic functionality for the taskbar right click menu has been disabled for this version. I'm sure they will be added back at a later date. And it doesn't seem resize taskbar is working just yet either.
Maker sure to send all bugs to support@realtimesoft.com in addition to posting.

Aye, I gahtered that from the post, but at this time that functions seems to be disabled. Perhaps to deal with creating the "aero-like" effects Chrisitan was able to get operational.
The email of the release states: "Please note that this release is less mature than UltraMon 2.7.1 [Snip..]" and I'm sure this is part of what it's refering to. Make sure to submit a bug report for this issue and I'm sure it will be ironed out in the coming releases.

UltraMon should pick up the settings from the main taskbar, but this doesn't work correctly in all cases yet.
To resize the UltraMon taskbars if you have the main taskbar locked:
unlock the main taskbar and change the autohide option under Properties. UltraMon will pick up the new settings, and you can now resize the taskbars as usual. Now lock the main taskbar again and restore the original setting for the autohide option.
