We run version 2.7.1 under XP w/2 Monitors. We work in a very app intensive environment (not uncommon to have 30+ tasks open).
About once a week, we get an error where every process currently running (including systray processes) opens a grayed out minimized window on the primary desktop. The only way we have found to resolve this is to manually kill all processes and reboot. Unfortunately this doesn't allow us to save any current work.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Have you noticed if there's anything that triggers the issue, for example running a certain application?
I usually have lots of applications open too, but haven't seen this myself so far.
I'm also not sure what might cause this, if you get this the next time could you take a screenshot of the desktop and send it to support@realtimesoft.com? That might help with determining what's going on.
