Hey guys,
I got this 22" monitor (1680X1050) for Christmas, and I'm already having trouble using it with Ultramon. Before I had my laptop display as my main screen and an old CRT as secondary. Now I want the 22" to be primary, so i switch it and everything's ok. However, after it returns from screensaver, it makes my laptop display primary again! Please help :(
Also, I made two different shortcuts for the same program for a few programs on my desktop(one on each monitor for easy access), but when Ultramon "restores icons to the original position" it groups the icons to the same program together! I dunno why, i even tried naming them different names but it didn't help. I'd appreciate help on this matter too.

It's unlikely that this would be related to UltraMon, to verify this check if you still have the problem without UltraMon running or installed.
Some people reported that this issue was caused by TMM, a service installed on Vista, you can disable it under Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler > Microsoft > Windows > MobilePC.
Regarding the icons: icons need to have a unique name, otherwise UltraMon won't be able to position them correctly. The issue with icons with similar names not getting positioned correctly seems to be a Vista issue, a workaround will be considered for one of the next releases.

Hey, thanks for the heads up on TMM, that problem was really getting annoying fast. I should have known better than to accuse Ultramon of something when I'm running an OS so full of holes, haha. I would be grateful if Ultramon released a patch that fixed the icon thing. If there any other fix to tide me over? Even giving the shortcuts completely different names didn't seem to be much help.
Thanks again, Brian

Currently there's no patch for this, but ensuring that the icon names don't begin with the same letters should fix the problem, for example IconA, IconB might be a problem, but AIcon, BIcon should work fine.
