Not sure if this is at all possible, but how could I have a virtual monitor displayed on my screen ontop of my actual monitor. The idea is to make a small virtual screen ontop of my desktop, similar to picture-in-picture mode you get on some tv's.

Would you want to display the contents of a second monitor in a small window on your main monitor? If yes, you could do this with the MirrorMon add-on.
