Have a look at this:
http://666kb.com/i/atw043isc08ktm7br.jpg
Primary right - secondary left
As you can see, the application (miranda) copies the background from the wrong position. (It's using the left side of the right monitor, but it should use the left side of the left monitor)
I'm using UltraMon 3 Beta 1 on Vista 64. Note that I had no problems on Windows XP and Ultramon 2.7.1
Is this a (known) problem of UltraMon or should I contact the miranda developer?

This seems to be a Vista issue (assuming Miranda doesn't handle transparency itself), happens if you have a monitor to the left of the primary.
You'll see the same problem if you move the taskbars to the top of the desktop.

So this needs to be fixed by Microsoft?
Can you implement a workaround in UltraMon, or is UltraMon not involved at all in this bug? (I.e. do I have to contact the Miranda devs and ask for a workaround?)

What happens if you close UltraMon completely?

I think this needs to be fixed by Microsoft, so far I haven't found a workaround.

I just noticed that this wont happen when disabling Aero...
|

That's because the glass/transparency effect gets disabled.

Maybe a stupid question, but how can I make microsoft getting aware of this problem? Is there some kind of a "bug report" page on microsoft.com (found nothing) or a contact e-mail address?
|

As far as I know you can file a bug report on their support site.

I don't see a way to file a bug report on this site. The only thing offerec is an expensive support hotline for 72€ per question.
Christian, aren't you in contact with Microsoft? This bug is really annoying... Can't you ask them what's going on there?
|
Christian Studer 2008-04-21 10:33
Unfortunately no, I need to go through support as well, and don't have direct access to their developers.
